Ministry Update

Graduation

May 28, 2011 marked the 16th annual graduation ceremony of the Word of Life Hungary Bible Institute. 34 students from 13 different countriesstudied at the Bible Institute this year.

Graduation day was an emotional experience, as the students said good-bye to their close friends, while looking forward in anticipation to their future ministries. At the ceremony, the students were reminded by our guest speaker, Pastor Ronnie Stevens, to never tire of sharing the Gospel and to remain strong in the Lord.

It is exciting to think about the amazing ways the Lord will use these students in the future. Many will go back to their home countries and enter the ministry. Please pray for these graduates as they begin a lifetime of faithful service for our Lord.

 Ladies’ Conference:
A Visit from a Special Friend

The annual Ladies’ Conference at WOL Hungary was a blessed time for the Weavers. Our special friend, June Hunt, traveled all the way from Dallas, Texas to be the guest speaker. June is the founder and director of Hope for the Heart. She is a Christian counselor and host of a live call-in radio program. She is also a vocalist and author of many Christian-counseling books. When Paul was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, he worked for Hope for the Heart in the radio show’s call center. June was his boss, and remains a good friend to this day. We were blessed to have her in Hungary!

Over 340 women from all over Hungary joined us on May 21st for the Ladies’ Conference at Word of Life. June spoke on the very important topic of forgiveness. Many of the women who attended were encouraged in the Word and realized their need to let go of resentment and to forgive. Why? Because HE forgave us first! Many women responded to June’s message of forgiveness, and by the Lord’s grace over 25 women were saved!

Solid Foundation Scholarship Fund

Imagine what $5 can do… In today’s world, $5 may not seem like a lot of money, but what if we told you that for just $5 a month, you can revolutionize a young person’s life for the glory of God? Many of the students who would like to attend WOL Hungary Bible Institute cannot afford to do so because they are from low-income countries in Eastern and Central Europe. It is our desire to give every young person the opportunity to study God’s Word, regardless of his or her financial situation. WOLH Bible Institute is looking for 600 people who will faithfully give $5 each month towards the student scholarship fund. This new scholarship program is called the “Solid Foundation Scholarship Fund”. Will you join with us as we train young men and women from all over Europe for a lifetime of ministry? If 600 people are willing to give $5 for 12 months, we can help over 14 students study the Word of God at the Bible Institute in Hungary. It truly is an investment in eternity!  Please take a moment to read over the Solid Foundation website at: www.solidfoundation.info

Bible Institute Alumni Reunion

One of our greatest joys is to hear updates from our former students who are faithfully serving the Lord. It was such an encouragement to hear from many of them during a recent Bible Institute Alumni Reunion in Budapest. We listened to wonderful testimonies, had a great time of fun and fellowship, gave an update concerning the Bible Institute, and heard a message from the Word.

It was an important reunion for Paul because he was able to introduce himself to many of the Alumni he had never met before, stretching all the way back to the first year of the BI in 1994. Paul gave a message of encouragement from the Word, reminding the Alumni how special we are to be children of the Most High God. He encouraged them to persevere in the faith; their service is not in vain. What a privilege to be God’s children, serving as His ambassadors!
